Extended Warranty

Besides a CPO or addition to, what companies are reliable to purchase an extended warranty. Do any of them offer a maintenance plan? I'm looking for a policy that provides coverage on as many components as possible. Length of time is more important than milage.
Thank you for any input.

Plus 2 on Zurich. Obviously, CPO looks appealing, but don’t use it on a BENZ with air or hydraulic (abc) systems as they will deny coverage on the very part they make. And CPOs policies are tougher to discount than on 3rd party providers.

USAA used to write policies, great company.

I used easycare for years on the plagued CL 63s, but they got questionable in the final year I had Car.

Two weeks ago I bought a GT S that I am currently using as a daily and plan to keep for a while. It's a 16 with 6k miles and I bought a Fidelity warranty for 6 years 100k miles (from the date and mileage from the purchase of the warranty) and was relatively inexpensive. My buddy has an R8 and has had a great amount of success with them. They cover a lot and many dealerships take them, including Mercedes dealerships. If you are interested, I can PM you the information for the person from whom I purchased the plan and he could possibly point you to someone in your area who can broker it for you.

I have a year left on a recently purchased 16 GT-S with 1500 miles
if I still have it in a year this is good info.
had Fidelity on my recently sold R8 V-10 which was very comprehensive "platinum" plan, 3 years and 50,000 miles with $100 deductible - cost was $1931
NOW THATS A BARGAIN

going to have a hard time waiting a year to tune this car- as soon as I make sure I have no bugs or open recalls, updates...I think I will go for it

Forgot to mention that if you buy the car new they’ll give you a five-year 60 for about another 600 bucks.

I still have 3 plus years to go on my warranty but I think I will have to go with the tune in the spring at the latest!
If I can even wait that long!!

I'm with you- little point in waiting as a tune is a relatively inexpensive way to unleash untapped gains
for me it's a waste not to do it as it will hopefully increase my enjoyment of the car
I tuned my R8 while under warranty and then ended up supercharging it- fortunately the warranty was never needed
thinking Eurocharged but certainly welcome suggestions- my local MB tuner is all about Weistek but I have read some disconcerting things on this forum

I had Fidelity on my 911. It was a good price, never had to use it but when I traded in my 911 I was able to get a prorated portion of the Fidelity back which was nice.

Hi
I'm reviving this discussion because I just got a quote for a 2016 AMG GTS (40K miles) from fi delity..
These are the Platinum numbers: Here are the Mercedes numbers. Platinum with a $250.00 deductible: 2yrs/24000 miles $4109.00, 3yrs/36000 miles $5739.00, 4yrs/48000 $7633.00, 5yrs/60000 miles $9266.00 and 6yrs/60000 miles $9887.00

isn't that much higher than a year ago? am I missing something?

Thanks

Depending on which broker you went through, I'd imagine that the higher price is due to the very high miles on the car. I paid $3400 for 3y/36k miles with a $100 deductible on a 12k mile car.

Extended Factory Warranty Time

It's time dealer wants $6,900 covers everything 7 / 7500 I am going this route no real issues so far but I did have a few
small ones with a service engine code last year ended up being a programing upgrade. I have 15K miles on my 2016 GTs
but will drive her more in the coming years so the coverage makes sense i'm thinking.

Got a dealer email on Dec 9 2019 - they are offering 15% off Extended Limited Warranty's until Jan 31 2020. I emailed dealer for quotes and got these prices. Where's the discount? Email dealer back and asked if quotes include 15% discount cuz those prices are high.

Remember the MB extended warranty only covers the big stuff, it is not the original bumper to bumper...
I bought mine two months ago just before the original expired..

Also remember this: the Extended Warranty’s are sold through the Finance Office, and are negotiable! Low ball the Finance Manager and tell them if they don’t cut you a deal you’ll take your business elsewhere. Any MB dealer can supply you with an Extended warranty. Get lots of quotes.
