I am not personally aware of the Quaiffe product but there are several diff experts around. What suburb are you in? I will come back with someone fairly local to you.

I'm in the northern suburbs but location isn't as important as an experienced installer. In the city most days so can pretty much travel anywhere.
Experience with this sort of car would be preferred.

I know a indie in south eastern suburbs whom does all the work on my c32 and my mates 63.
I can PM you the details if you like. He is more than capable to do the quaife install.

You do not need a MB specialist. If you use one, he will only remove it, and ship it to someone like:

Trans Gear & Diffs in Thomastown (9462 2077)
Status in Bayswater (9725 3611)
Sunshine Diffs in Sunshine (9364 7619)
Victoria Diffs in Mitcham (9874 5268)

These guys are all top specialists who do the work for all the major dealers. Very few dealers have the kit to spread the diff casing let alone the shim kits and the know how.

I don't know if I trust places like that with Mercs maybe if I had a commodore or something

Mercedes dealers do not dismantle diffs!

And diff speciallists do not touch engines or body parts.
I have seen Rolls and Ferraris in diff speciallist shops. Mercedes is nothing new for them.

Of course Commodores are their bread and butter, some offer a two hour changeover for them.
