cellphone reception
If you get an indication that the phone is initializing, then your system is recognizing the phone. Problem isn't with COMAND, head unit, PSE or cradle.
If you get "no phone" then it isn't recognizing it. Problem likely one of the above.
If your system recognizes the phone and it initializes (downloads the phone book) but you get no signal strength, you may have a problem in the antenna system, as the dealer suggests. One potential failure point is the linear compensator (a low-powered amplifier that makes up for line loss - e.g., what the dealer may have referred to as an antenna booster).
Another possible problem is the antenna switch, a device that switches the antenna from the cell phone to the Tele-Aid unit (if you have one).
You may be able to determine which parts your car needs from the phone bulletins at http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsit..._bulletins.htm
Given that your car is new, it should be under warranty. If anyone has a similar problem with a car out of warranty, such parts are MUCH less expensive on e-Bay.

I would recommend looking at the adapter cables included with the phone kit (I believe there is one in the CLS kit; can't remember for sure). Motorola now has them made in China and they are really poor quality. Checking them with a meter is the best test, as visual inspection does not always reveal flaws.
