kicker L7's

what do you guys think about them? i have pretty much an all mb quart set up. their subs are junk, so im just trying to figure out what 2 12's i should use. they will be running off of mb quarts big mono block amp. i have thought about jl audio w6's. i use to have 3 of the older moldels in my other car running off of a 800w planet audio and was loud enough for me. whatever i use it must me in a sealed box. i want good sound quality, but when i want to crank the bass up, it must be loud and clean, very loud. thank you for any comments or suggestions.

How about a single 12" Image dynamics ID MAX. It's one hell of a sick subwoofer. Cone has like 3" travel. Excursion is tremendous. Or on the second though, get two of um, hahaha. I used to run 2- 12" Elipse aluminum cone subs, very tight and accurate bass, just not enuff thump. Plus each of those weighs a ton.

Yeah IDmax rocks, or try Brahma, more SQ oriented, L7 are nice and loud too.

In the market
I'm running a single L7 10" in the truck of my W203. It sounds awesome. I can't say a bad thing about it.

Kicker L7's are loud and somewhat affordable (I sell the 12'' for $300.00) however, as far as sound quality and tightness you might be better off with something else. JL makes some great products but they are overpriced and the same results can be achieved by spending less money on other products. I would check out OzAudio.com for example, I sell alot of their products and they are of great quality for the price. Alpine also makes some great stuff.

I agree with Jput, for SQ needs you can find a comparable sub to teh JLw7 for much much less, I was looking to do the same, and I ordered an RL-p from SoundSplinter, but I recently tested a Stereo Integrity MAG D2, and that sub is out of this world nice, I have heard plenty of W7's, and I prefer the sound of the new SI MAG D2, just excellent SQ and great SPL with out needing a ton of watts
