Planning new system...

I want to know if anybody has had any experience with JL's new Clean Sweep processor. It is supposed to allow stock systems hook up aftermarket amplifiers and speakers w/o a decline in acoustic quality. It is brand new JL processor and supposed to come out this month.

The rest of the system will be MB Quart separates, JL 10W7, JL 500/1 mono amp, and an old school Esoteric 6 channel amp (very clean amp). The only thing I need to get is the JL10W7 and JL Clean Sweep.

I just want to keep the stock head unit setup and eventually get the Euro COMAND headunit to play DVD's. I had a PS2 in the CLK430 to do that and an Alpine headunit/screen to handle the DVD's, but getting the Euro COMAND would be a much cleaner setup.

Mercedes really makes aftermarket options limited.

JL Clean Sweep or Audio Control LC6 are the best way to go for a factory head unit.

Good Luck

if money is a factor, I would look somewhere else for the sub, there are many more subs out there for much less that do very similar performance

sorry I am just so tired of people watching lame shows like Pimp My Ride or Unique Whips and all those guys know is JL (I am not saying you guys do just that it makes me sick), and I find that sad that they hype up a company that continues to ride on hype, sorry for the vent, I just know that the new RE Audio sub and the upcomming SoundSplinter LMT sub will both have better SQ and greater output than the JL for less money, those two factors being very hard to tell by the average ear

I have the Eclipse head unit, Jl and Phoniex Gold setup in my Accord and it is "Crystal" clear audio. Providing Booty Bass straight from the bottom. I plan to put some serious audio in my next car. Or in my C32
I will have to get some more info about the items you mentioned. But thanx for the info

If you are going after sound quality you should take a listen at Dynaudios first before going with MBQ, the "cleaness" of the sound is VERY dramatic compared to MBQs. Dyns are very transparent they don't have that harshness MBQs have that cause ear fatigue during listening sessions.

Thanks for the input...I'll take a listen to the Dynaudios. As far as the JL vent...no problem...I've always had JL's since the 90's and they have been consistent performers for me.

I'll post pics when the install is done...The JL Cleansweep is the limiting factor because I can't find it yet. It looks like the May release will be a June release on this particular product based on what the local car audio dealers around here have been telling me.
