how can i add an amp to my stock radio?
I Have an SL55 AMG and want better sound without changing the stock radio. I want to add an amplifier but i cant figure out how to hook it up, since the stock radio is all fiber optic wires and amps use RCAs.any ideas???
Thank You

I just added an amp to my 2005 clk500 which has fiber optics. What I did was tap into the speaker wires comming out of the amp and using a line output converter for rca's
I don't know if there is a better way to do it, but mine sounds just fine

Yep
RCAs give you a better signal because it is line-level. Since these units use optical connections, the only way to do it is to use line-output converters that convert speaker-level signals to line-level signals. That will work fine (as you've said
)
