Audio 10 cd player - Need audio help
Is there anyway to make it play a burned cd?
and if not:
Are all 2002 clk's wired with the fiber optic cd changer wire? I don't see one in the trunk but if it behind the panel then I will get it out to install a cd changer. I just don't want to rip the trunk apart if there is no wire.
I appreciate any help you can give, thanks.

2) CD changer - Numerous thread on this forum regarding where to find what and what will work.
3) You did not specify your location so therefore it is not possible to determine if your setup was a retrofit or OEM. It also makes it difficult to answer your question as ROW and US cars are built differently.
or something). manual here if you're using same version of Audio 10. you
may have the curvier Audio 10. for US benzes, the fiber optic has to be back
there. you may want to search this board to confirm left or right. bright
orange twin lead with postage size terminator. my Audio 10 can handle
my burned CDs as long as I record in proper format (again, not MP3).

"MP3" as a disk format is a no-go for Audio 10 (not to be confused with .MP3 as the source format for songs you put on an "Audio" (CD-DA) CD-R, as advanced burning programs can convert .MP3 to .WAV on the fly).
My Audio 10 has absolutely no problem playing burned CDs, BTW.

I'm actually looking to replace my exsisting aftermarket head unit with an audio 10 in dash cd player. Besides what you mentioned above, how do you like it? Sound good and everything?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
was in giving up the on-board phone, audiocassette player, random access
radio station preset. In return, you get front panel CD, some funky shortwave
band(s), and traffic report band (not useable in Seattle).
Both still rely on fiber optic to connect CD changer. Both are problematic
and challenging/costly to hook up Ipod/MP3 portable player, ie no cheap
aux in.
Overall, my (oohh) Bose sound system sux and doesn render tunes as
satisfying as my 4wd truck with Kenwood kickers and cheap Panasonic
head unit.
....but I wanted to keep the MB interior look and not ice blue. So in the
end, I'll live with the sound for now.
