sirius options???
i have a 2000 s500. i bought an aftermarket sirius unit and had it installed. however i have static from the radio. i talked to nav tv and they said this model comand 2.0 will not let me put a tv tuner unit in it with additional av outlets . my question is what can i do to get rid of the static bleeding in through the fm radio stations?

Does the 2000 S500 has the AUX input. When I tried my Sirius Sportster Reply in my CLK through the FM transmitter I also got a bit of static noise. Then I fabricate a AUX connector using the mini-stereo plug, connect to the Sirius receiver and the static went away. When possible use the direct connection but if FM is your only option then try different stations to decrease the static.

ive searched the forum and cant come up with the answer....i know people hardwire valentines but how can i hardwire the reciever...i just want to leech off something for the power cable to make the interior a little cleaner...any suggestions?

I hope this is not a premature answer...If you are looking for crystal clear sound using your factory head unit and Sirius..you can do what I just did and use an FM Direct Connect off e-bay AND a European vehicle Antenna Adapter cable kit (2 pieces). It will plug everything together behind the dash and give you 1 lead to plug into your Sirius unit - Zero static.
