'05 SL 500 and Blue Tooth Nextel i870

I just bought a new '05. I also just bought a new i870 nextel blue tooth phone. What are my options for integrating the phone with the command system or, if that is not possible, what is a next best option. I have a '04 cl 500 with a parrot 3100 and do NOT care for it at all. Thanks.

I installed a Sony/Ericsson HCB-30 into a SLK350 pretty easily. Here is the posting:

Your R230 SL uses MOST NTG2 components which should be similar. You just have to find the Mute bus connector. It is near the left side door/floor edge for the W211 E clast. It is a connector with all yellow wires or pink and yellow wires. The pink wires are 12V lines for Wake-up. The yellow wires are active GND for Mute. If you cannot find this connector, tap it from the TeleAid or the phone kit. You dealer should be able to tell you where this connector is.

Beside the Sony/Ericsson HCB-30, I have the Nokia CK-1W and a few Parrot DriveBlues in other cars. The phone BT implementation is as much to blame as these devices. My Treo650 would not connect at various times. My wife's Sony/Ericsson T637 seemed to do much better.

I am using S/E HCB-30, Nokia CK-1W and Parrot DriveBlue. None of these are perfect with my Treo650. My wife's S/E T637 seems to be much better. Other BT phones in the family are S/E T616, Nokia 6820. Basically we have a BT handsfree in every car.

I expect your Mot kit should be very similar. Evevrything is pretty straight forward. The Mute line took a little time to figure out.

It took me 5 hours to complete the job. Obvoiusly I took extra time since this is the first time I opened up my SLK350. Also I took care so the installation is up to the factory standards with flex conduits, zip ties etc.
