Motorola Bluetooth Car Kit

So, I want to start this project, but before I do I have a question for those that are familiar wtih the 2006 W203 (C230) Head Unit...

I'm looking at This Bluetooth Kit... What do you think? I mainly want to be able to hide device and be able to use my steering wheel or head unit send/end keys to pick up calls... So is it possible?

Rumor has it that the MB BT will need the phone kit. The phone models that you can transfer the contact list is not known. Wth the wire kit, only a limited number of contacts (25?) and only the first number for the contact will be transferred.

If you don't need the steering wheel button function, installing a Sony or Nokia BT kit is an option. Your car with MOST system should be similar to the SL (R230) reply I made just below.

There is a universal non-MB phone, no phone kit needed, bluetooth coming out.

I did consider this unit however i wanted a unit that had its own speaker and that was easier to hide, Im gonna fit the control panel int he ash tray or on the blank switches, the speaker in the passenger footwell, and th emic inthe benz location over head.
The wiring is easy there is a power, remote, ground & radio mute, this will work great in my car and it will still mute my comand unit.

Lets face it you shouldnt being looking at the phone screen and drive so why use the parrot screen, also the screen looks out of place on most cars i have seen it on.
the motorola kit will tell you who is calling if they are saved on voice dial, and you can use all voice controls

My main concern with the parrot is the interface unit uses the exsisting ISO connection's which is easy to install but im running low level line taps directly from the back of the head unit to my eq in the boot of my car thats y the parrot is not a option for me, also i really do like my dash and wiring to look neat and tidy i dont think this would be a option with the parrot unit

I think the kit i have is great looking and i cant wait to install it on sat

Thanks
Neil

I have a nearly 20 years old MB so I don't have to worry about steering wheel control which I don't have. The Parrot CK3100 screen doesn't look out of place in my car either. Many who rode in thought it's a cool device. It pair perfectly with my Verizon V3c without any interuption like the E815 or V635 that I used before. Also, I only glance at the screen when it rings. Being doing that for many months without any problem. I used to use a phone kit with it's own speaker. It was mounted underneath the glove compartment. But my wife complained that speaker and the cradle got in her way. However, I missed the power of the 3 watt antenna.
