Audio 10 to Audio 20

Audio 10 to Audio 20
Hi all
Newbie question here, I've just got a C200K W203. I used to have a Rover, but got fed up with overheating and scraped knckles every five minutes.
My MB has an Audio 10, and I've bought an Audio 20 (the cd-thingie with the screen on it)
I'm fine with taking off all the trim, and as
an electronic engineer wiring doesn't scare me.
However, I've heard murmuring from my dealer that I can't just plug'n'play the Audio 20. They rather enigmatically told me that I'd requre a 'workshop visit to reprogram the car'
Sounds like BS to me. What do you think?
