I know this has been asked a bunch of times but couldn't get any solid opinions from reading previous threads.

I have hk logic 7 in my 03 e500 but the stock sub is pretty much shot and at higher volumes, the front speakers start crackling.

Looking to replace the sub and add an amp. I've read I'll probably need the JL clean sweep but what other recommendation would you have?

I mainly listen to hip/hop but getting too old to disturb my neighbors. I'd like something with clean bass, but has the potential power of blowing my ear drums. Any thoughts? I was thinking jl 1000/1 and 1 w7? Mind you I know hardly anything about car audio parts. Money really isn't an object. I just want it clean. Thanks ahead of time.

going to the local stereo shop this weekend to get a quote. Thinking 1 jl 500/1 and 2 10w7's. Custom fitted. I don't want them to just drop an ugly box in trunk. Time to step the game up a little don't you think? I'll post pics as soon as I get it all done.

spent 3 grand today for a custom enclosure, 2 amps, 2 subs. I'll take pics after it's all done.

it's all eclipse stuff..not a big fan..but the enclosure is sweet and it hits hard..i'll put up pics..i never saw a setup like that before..
