Post Phone: function not available

Hello

I have a problem regarding my DYI carkit installation.

My car is 2000 W210.
I have installed a bluetooth Parrot Kit CK3100 which is working fine.

I also ordered a Connects2 (http://www.connects2.com) PPAR004 Interface with Tel84/85 adapters.
This to enable the phone buttons on the multifunctional steering wheel.
I've installed this interface, Parrot CK3100 still working fine, but when pushing on the buttons on the steering wheel I get "Function not available" in the speedo display.

Could it be I need to go to the dealership to have the phone menu enabled through Star ?

I've been doing alot of searching already on several forums, but couldn't find an exact answer for my problem.

I hope someone can give me a hint.

I'm living in Belgium, so I payed in euro but I'll put it in dollars:
For the Parrot CK3100 I payed about $180 and for the Connects2 Interface + adapters also around $180.

Installation is pretty easy, all connections are plug 'n' play and are well documented.
The Parrot has a small display showing all necessary info, I have installed this screen into the space where normally the ash tray is situated in the center console, so I can close the lid when leaving the car.

Now I have a carkit solution that works with almost any bluetooth phone!

Is the steering wheel interface at least controlling the Parrot kit?

The "function not available" may be normal operation with the aftermarket steering wheel interface kit. Give the manufacturer a call and ask in case it's not explained in the instructions.

Update

It was confirmed to me by Connects2 that the message "Phone not available" in de speedo display is normal operation.
So no need to go to the dealership.
Still, they have to give me a solution for my non-working telephone buttons.
