Mercedes V557 MHI (AWS) Phone Compatibility List
For those of you that would like to use your Motorola V series GSM phone that is “not supported” by AWS, (but want to take advantage of the external antenna) I thought I would start a thread where we could document what phones and features work with the V557 MHI from AWS.
So far, I have tried two phones, the Motorola V635 and V300. All of the features that I have tested on both phones work with the MHI. For simplicity, I thought I would use the same feature key as the Bluetooth Compatibility thread.
V625 (SMS download not tested, 3 way not tested yet)
V300 (still testing looks good so far)
I will update the thread when I finish testing all of the features.
[THE MORE NUMBERS ON THERE, THE LESS FEATURES IT SUPPORTS]
KEY:
1. No Phone Book Download
2. No Call List Download
3. No 3 way
4. No SMS Download
5. No DTMF Tones
6. No Signal Strength Indicator
7. No Speed Dial
* If you can't Initiate a call/dial a number, accept a call or reject a call it doesn’t work at all.

I found the power to my antenna switch had never connected. After correcting the problem, I gained 3 bars over the signal strength on the phone in the car when not in the cradle. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have also verified that SMS works on the V635.
