Switching CD Changers
Yesterday I started getting the "CD error" and "No CD Magazine" errors. I suppose it is time to get a new changer.
Anyway I plan to replace the current Becker 2662 CD Changer that I have with new OEM Mercedes Alpine one. After searching and not finding a confirmed answer, I was wondering if the current plug that I have for the Becker changer will work without modification (e.g. new adaptor, new wiring) for the OEM Mercedes Alpine changer? Any advise is appreciated or direction to another thread if they has been covered. The car is '01 E320 and it has Comand if that helps.
Thank you in advance and sorry if this is a repeat thread.

AMG GTC Roadster, E63s Ed.1, M8 Comp. Coupe
I am fairly certain that you can't switch them (2001 to 2006) because they use a different fiber-optic system (D2B vs. MOST).
Perhaps eBay? I seem to recall that I had seen new changers for about $275...
Good luck,
Wolfman
