VRM and Bluetooth Puck not working

Hi: Installed the Phone Kit, V60 Cradle, VRM and Bluetooth Puck in my 2004 CLK55. All fuses (f44, f13, f16, f40) and relays (P & F) seem to be installed. In the Navigation Configuration Diagnostics, Telephone is checked. It seems as there is no power to both? No voice Control beep when I pull the lever and V60 puck does not flash when placed in cradle. I remember reading that someone had this same problem and it was a missing fuse that the dealer found that wasn't listed in the Star Bulletin? Can't seem to find the post. I think the D2B fibre optic is configured. Hoping to figure this out and not to have to take it to the dealer. Thanks.

Along with physically installing the phone kit and voice recognition module, you need to have them both enabled through an SDS computer.

Nothing MB related (sorry)
Since your 2004 CLK is D2B based (not MOST), you don't really need to get your car reprogrammed to have it recognize the new audio devices. It should work right away.

Are you sure you connected all devices properly to the D2B fiberring? The ring should be 'closed'... otherwise it doesn't work.

You can also check out the following website (from Paul H. Dick):

Thanks for the info.

It did find a under the false floor in the truck behind the rear seat where the Telephone ane SBS (VRM) are hooked together. But I don't think the Telephone & VRM are part of the D2B ring with the other components. I didn't see any flashing from the D2B fiber end when I disconnected it from the Telephone and turned power on. Where is the location where all the fibers would come together where I could break the current loop and connect (insert) the Telephone and VRM Voice Recognition Module into the ring?

After checking the D2B Fiber Loop, I found that the SBS In was connected to SBS Out. Connected the Sound 2 to SBS In, SBS Out to Tel In which was located under the false floor in the trunk. Still not working? I am sure the VRM and Telephone are still not part of the D2B loop. Where is the other location in a 2004 CLK55 where I could check the D2B fibers to get this in between the Sound System and the CD Changer as specified in 'D2B Ring Configuration' for a CLK? Someone must know where I should look?

Did you do the installation according to the work instructions for your car? It's specific about where each component is connected into the ring and the VR kit includes the needed D2b patch cables for the hands-free + VR configuration.

If needed, I can Email the instructions for your car to you.
