Hi gang --

I've had a Mikbox installed in my '00 S500 for several months now. Generally works well. However, I have horrible static in the line. I have a Motorola V557. Mikbox told me it's probably the linear compensator accounting for all the static. Anyone else have experience with this? The linear compensator is a single-band model that was used for the old StarTac, I believe.

If a dual-band linear compensator will clear things up, I'm all over it. If anyone knows where I can get one without going to the dealer, I'd appreciate that info.
