New command vs Old command

New command vs Old command

Does any of you know if it is possible to change the old command with the new one. Electrical / mechanical problems ???

Car W230 SL 55. Model 2002. ( friend of mine )

They use completely different communication systems. They are not directly swappable.

If i remember right, the new cmmand is communicating through optical wires, ( profibus ). But this must not mean that connection to command is done as optical wire. Do you know if connection is copper or optical wire ???

Profibus? No. Not on these cars...( any that I know of ). older cars are D2b ( optical) and the mewer cars are MOST ( optical ). I've only seen profibus on PLC systems and it's not optical. It's copper. Where did you get that profibus info from? Just curious.
