Can't seem to get that thread to work... Are you volunteering to give this a try...? I'd like to improve my BOSE speakers, especially bass so let us know if you decide to try it...

I can't find where I read it but it was from a guy who replaced the speakers only, in his Mercedes suv and really liked the improvement. He used the Kappa series Ininity 2 ohm speakers. Here is a link to their web site: http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='KAPPA63.7I'&Ser=KAP&Cat=MEL

Hey. I will have to wait for the better weather here before trying it but it sounds worthwhile. I would also have to find out how to remove the grilles without marking them up. Pretty scary on a pretty Benz.

Agreed... I read a post recently where an MB owner purchased a panel removing tool and said it made the work of removing the speaker grills much easier... Not sure what the tool was called though...
