Mounting depth size w211
Does anyone know the maximum mounting dimensions available for installing a double din head unit in a w211 03+ E-class?

Shallow.. 4 to 6 inches max.

Oh NO! Damn, there goes my upgrade plans for a double din HU. most require a 10 inch mounting depth.

Is the "depth" of an Audio 50 or COMAND unit really only 4-6 inches. When I r/r a short while ago, the depth seemed longer than that.

I've seen double-DIN retrofit units for W211s once or twice on eBay.
