Code Mercedes Radio
Hello,
The battery of our '99 ML 430 has been replaced. The radio is been asking for a code, but I don't have the code of the radio.
I went to the dealer, but they couldn't tell me the code of the radio.
I have a couple of numers on the radio:
A163 820 00 86, CQ-LP2820Z and Serial no. 98C205843
Can anyone help me?

Those aren''t the numbers that you need. The dealer should be able to give the code. Do you have another dealer that you can call?

Well, they did give me a code, but it didn't work. We bought a second hand ML430, but the history is unknown. I read about a keygenerator for radio's, but I couldn't find the right code. I will call another dealer tomorrow, I'll hope they can help me.

From the part number you provide, it's obviously and OEM unit. As long as it's original to the vehicle, the dealer should be able to give you the code without any difficulty. Even if it isn't, they should be able to give you a code that will work from the model and serial numbers for the radio. Call another dealer.
