it is getting tedious to go through my 3000 songs one at a time, can I play a particular playlist?

 

You can - you need to get into the ipod navigation menu - you do that by pressing the phone hangup button - if at first itdoesn't do it again, there maybe a slight delay - that will bring you to the main menu (if you hesitate for more than 12 sec it goes back), There you can scroll thru the choices using the arrow buttons (up and down) - when you find what you want (playlists, artists, etc) press OK - and so on and so forth.

Play with it and you'll get it.

The key is to get to the navigation menu with the phone hangup button.
