Hello Everyone,
Anyone know where I can get a remote at a good deal. I was quoted by MB Dealer for 250 bucks. That's alot of money for just a remote with a few buttons!

I have one in my hand and the part number on the box is A 002 820 82 89. I ordered it from the MB Dealer in Kensington UK. The shipped it directly to me....$100.00 US Works in My G-500 also...

i'm gonna ask my dad for this for the SL. I'll keep u updated.. also i'll take it around w/ me whenever i go in a friends benz.. be kinda funny to control their stuff! lol

.............got contacted by my local mb dealer from whom I ordered the remote. He tells me that MBUSA will not allow him to order it for the US market. This is nothing short of mental retardation. Anyway, I will just get one directly from a European MB dealer. By the way, has anyone used the remote to control the Mb Tv tunner? If so, does it work?

It's good point. We need just ask any owner of such remote to read the codes in any learnable remote, like Pronto and then publish the codes. Then, the codes can be entered to any $10 remote like One 4 All. It's good to send the same question to remotecentral.com forums.

I have the remote for COMAND and some learnable ones also.
My learnable ones are Japanese ones such as SONY and Pioneer
(all are old models , 7-10 years old).
Maybe the Philips Pronto is a learnable one ?
But what is CCF file ?

head sides watching each other. Push any button of ordinary
one and a button of learning one will memorize the signal.
