Why is it so HARD to ADD Sat Radio

K, why is it so hard for MB to sell a satellite Radio to people afterwards? With the technology that goes into some of these cars, you would think that they would educate their dealerships and sell accessories to their customers.
I have a ML63 and I was not able to get SIRIUS radio here in Canada as they are having some issues with the CRTC (division of the Canadian government that governs TV and Radio for content and licensing) The dealerships that I have spoken to can not sell any of the items or parts needed. I even called a few dealerships down south and they were unable to find any parts as this is a "factory only option".
I just want to buy the parts I need and then I will get them installed.

Driving a MB is nice but I feel like I am in the 90's at times......

Any suggestions?

the U.S. car 2004+ are prewire for Sat radio. However if your ML63 was build in Canada is not wire for it.

some dealers don't care, they are happy not messing with a vehicle, I was just retained to show them how to do it in a new sl that did not have it from factory. If your radio says sat, than you can do it...
