navigation wont grab gps position
i have a 2003 clk55 and my navigation has always been flaky. sometimes it has gps coordinates and works great, but other times it never connects to a satellite and has no clue where it is. manually entering in the position helps but isn't ideal....especially if you're lost.
i never really use it so i never really cared. just before it went into extended warranty i had them look at it at the dealership. in typical mercedes fashion they just replaced the entire comand unit.
it's still flaky and i'm planning a long road trip...is there anyway to force it to re-sync with a satellite? this morning on the way to work it knew exactly its position, & had the gps coordinates. after listening to the radio for the commute i checked it at work and it had no idea where it was. it wasnt even on a road. i never turned off the car, it had just lost itself on a 30 minute commute...
i'm assuming there is something wrong with the satellite receiver since they replaced the entire dash unit and it didn't affect the problem. any ideas? as little as i use it i was hoping there was something i just didnt know or was doing wrong...

i just got back from my trip and i wanted to destroy my comand system. it worked flawlessly literally until i got lost. 
then it lost the signal, said sat 0, and thought we were in a different state.
oh well, thanks for the advice. i'm taking it in to get serviced.
