Adding amps to Command Nav.?
Hallo!
I ordered a CLS with command DVD navigation (No Harman/ Kardon surround).
Is it possible to hook up aftermarket amplifiers to the command headunit?

is the new CLS fiber optic? i cant remember...but either way it's doable. i added two phoenix gold amps to the fiber optic in the clk55. tapped the rear speaker connections with an audiocontrol EQX and this little speaker level input device...boosted the signal to 8v with a phoenix gold line driver.
it sounded way better than i thought possible with the speaker level input. but i only did it for subs. adding an amp for the other speakers isnt a good idea unless you change out all of them. MB usually uses some speakers with funky impedances.
may not be relevant anymore since my car is getting old..but that how it used to be.
