Mute wire in a CLS55?

My shop is installing a laser jammer in my car. The setup comes with a mute wire and speaker wires that they can tap into the cars stereo mute wire and when the jammer detects laser, will mute the stereo system and the warning will actually come over the cars stereo system instead of the tiny speaker that is on the laser jammers main box.

I have a 2006 CLS55. I am sure the wiring diagrams should be pretty similar between a lot of theses cars. Does anybody know if our stereo has a "mute wire/input" that my shop can use?

you can get it at the tele-aid module... pin 15 i believe. that will allow you to mute the stereo but there is no phone/mute audio input that is directly accessible so you will still need to used the existing jammer speaker.

So you mean I can mute the stereo but not the phone? Where is the tele-aid module located so i can tell my installer about pin#15?

the teleaid mute wire is the only accessible mute without an optical interface. the phone system both mutes and sends the phone audio over the optical bus so easy interface there.

the teleaid module is located on the trunk floor at the back of the trunk.
