Your COMAND manual tells you how to do this, and also how to save a destination by name (your next post).
If you don't have the COMAND manual for your ML, you can download one for the U.S. unit at http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsite/comand_manual.htm. While this is a U.S. manual, I doubt that those basic functions are different for the Euro version - it's worth a try.
Please also note that the ML COMAND manual is not listed on the site as a separate choice. You are directed to the CLK and E-Class manuals, at least for the U.S. version.
Also, it is much easier to answer questions if you'll provide the model year of your car, specially when dealing with telematics issues.
