Sirius channel name updates?
Sirius decided to move its "Disorder" channel (32) to the old "Planet Jazz" spot (70) in September, but my receiver continues to show the Planet Jazz name. Is there something I can do to force the names to update or is Sirius still broadcasting the old name (don't have Sirius at home so I don't have anything to compare the car to)? Thanking you very much in advance ...

I just have an FM Sirius portable, and mine still says "Sirius Disorder" for channel 32. (I hate the Grateful Dead...) Thanks for letting me know 32 was just moved, and not eliminated. I assume that labeling info comes from the satellite, as it does update occasionally when I start it up.

I know this is an old thread, but I have been wondering the same thing. Anyone know how to reinitialize the Sirius radio to redownload updated channel names?

Cjanel names are send over the broadcast.. Are you sure you are not talking about your stored presets? These will never update. you will have to delete tem by storing the new channel in its place.

Sirius is at fault, for not updating their channel labels as they make changes to the lineup...can't force it, as i have tried to do, and they claim there is nothing to do but wait. how annoying.
