stereo issues

I had a 500.1 JL + 10W7 Sub installed in my C32 with original head unit. It sounds great however when the volume is low the sound and bass would go up and down. Any suggestions? Should I istall a capacitor and if yes what type? How many Farad 1 or 5?

I wouldn't think you need a cap for that setup. I recently had some stuff put in and no cap used, not having any problems like surging lights and such. I did a 100x4 Kenwood for the doors and a 300x1 Kenwood mono driving a JL 8W3 mounted in the passenger floorboard. See pic.

Could it be the music that you are listening to? Is it a CD that maybe the recorded sound level changes? Does it do the same thing with other music sources?

No, I played various types of music and still the same issue. I had the exact same setup in my C240 but using aftermarket alpine player and never had an issue, the lights did not even dimm.
