I Need help.

I blew the w7 since i disorted too much. So i blew them.

He said i should change the headunit and the amps. I was wondering can i keep the speakers, and change the head unit, and the amp?

Or do i have to change the speakers also, thanks

no way, were your ears bleeding when you blew it, and how many did you have and which ones thats lots of power. I think you can send them in to jl and get them fixed, if you dont want to bother sell them to me. I can't figure out what you blew, the subs and the head unit? or what?

It depends on the amp and how you do it, I guess you already have a sub amp, so your talking about getting like a 300/4 amp from jl, in which case it would be overpowering your stock speakers. But if you get a head unit and the wire harness you can throw the sub amp on and use the factory amp, but with a w7 its going to make the compents almost unhearable. My advice if you have the money would be to get a full system, new speakers and amp for those then a head unit. Talk to the guys at your audio shop.

The Bose speakers are around 2 Ohms. So you would need to get an amp that can handle a 2 Ohm load. Most new medium to high end amps can handle this. See how it sounds and then replace the speakers if you need to. You would also probably want to get a new head unit as well, so the sound quality would go up. But the speakers can stay, but if you are doing this much work then maybe you would want new speakers as well. It is all up to what you want to do.
