E815/Mikbox Voice Recognition
My 01 E320 has a Mikbox installed, from the prior owner. I have an E815 cell connected to the cradle. Everything works fine, but I was wondering how to make the Voice Recognition work. Any idea's would be appreciated.

I believe you would have to activate the phone's internal voice recognition using the phone's own controls. With extreme luck, perhaps a button on the COMMAND unit will do that for you (but don't bet on it).
I had an MB voice recognition module that I used very successfully for voice dialing with my MikBox installation. It worked just as it did with the OE phone (except I had upgraded it to an '02 version, which also controlled much more than the one in my '00 did).
You can tell if you have a VRM by determining if you have the stalk on the upper right side of the steering column (see the phone bulletin for your car; http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsit..._bulletins.htm). If you have it, but don't still have the instruction manual, activate the lever and say "help" - it will give you the list of equipment that responds to voice, and then give you commands.
