MB Quart Q Series
I went to a local high-end shop today and asked about having my MB Quart Q series components installed. When I bought this car (08 C300) I heard nightmares about fiber optics and difficult installations, but was thrilled to hear it wasn't that big of a deal. They quoted me $250-$300 and about 2-3 hours labor and the master installer had just completed 2 other C300 and was very familiar with the car.

Most shops charge around $65 to install component sets (mid/tweet/crossover). They are installing 2 sets of speakers & custom making mounting rings. I double checked the price- and the shop manager said it shoud be more like $200 MAX. That's a little better

It shouldn't take more then an hour to install each speaker. If the extra money is worth the work they do, then pay it. The install can really be done in an hour for both doors, but if you want a quality job, then it takes extra time.
