2002 ML320
Question Is it possible to install a Sirius Stiletto 2 in a 2002 ML320?

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone out there can help me.
I recently purchased a Sirius Stiletto 2 portable unit and I also have a car kit for it that includes a magnetic mount satellite antenna as well as an Optional FM transmitter antenna.
But my head unit doen't have an AUX button (just TEL, NAVI, TAPE, RADIO & CD) and I can't find an AUX jack in the glove compartment - which leads me to believe that my 2002 ML320 isn't set up for auxilliary input at all. Is that correct?
I found this little blub online regarding the best ways to connect the unit:

Good
FM Direct Adapter, this will Wire the SIRIUS Signal to your Car's FM Dial.

Better
Cassette Player Adapter, this will connect the SIRIUS Signal to your car's Stereo given you have a Cassette Player in your Radio.

Best
Auxiliary Input Adapters, will directly connect the SIRIUS Signal to an available AUX/MODE/CD-Changer Button on your Cars Stereo. This is the best option and will provide the Best Sound Quality in your Vehicle.

Ultimate
Auxiliary Input Adapters — which directly connect audio and hardwire 5V power for units like the S50, Sportster 3, Sportster 4, Sportster 5, Starmate 3, Starmate 4, Stiletto SL100, Stiletto SL10, Stiletto 2, Stratus, Stratus 4, InV, and InV 2.

My next Qs are:
1) Is it possible to have someone hardwire it to the radio/head unit?
2) And if that's not possible, can I listen to Sirius through my FM radio?
3) Can I connect it through my tape deck? Is that even a viable option?

What do you suggest?
Has anyone else gone through this on the ML320 (like my 2002)?

Thanks so much for your help.
Cheers!
Tanya

Have it connected via a "wired FM MODULATOR" to your radio. The sound will be good -- not excellent but on a scale of 1-10, I'd say a 7. The installation is very easy and straight forward. Any car stereo shop should be able to handle it.

There are no aftermarket AUX IN adapters available for the 163 chassis ML, so the FM mod is your only solution. Also look into a company like Pro-Fit or Panavise to get a nice mount for the unit.

A ha! Okay, I think I found what you are talking about:

The Model#: FMDA25? (I can't tell if it's compatible with the Stiletto 2 - but I'll find out).
And then I think I need a Mercedes-FM Antenna Adapter Kit
Item#: 40-VW20+VW12

And if I have those two things, I should be able to listen to Sirius correct?
Or is there something else I need to get for the install guys?

I really appreciate your quick and helpful response.

Cheers!
