hooking up cd disc changer to 1999 E300TD

I just bought a 99' E300TD, and I want to hook up a disc changer. The factory radio has a cd button and the original dealer window sticker says that the stereo is "CD ready." I have been told that there should be a hookup in the trunk, but I can't find this wire, unless its under the spare tire. I am assuming that the radio is an alpine because the seriel number is "AL2299W0930146." Does anyone know if there should be a wire in the trunk and where would it be. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There should be a fiber-optic connection and it mounts on the driver side of the trunk in the hole on the floor. There should also be a power connection there, too. If you look around that area you should be able to locate it.

presuming you have USA issued model, the D2b cable is a twin orange lead
which should be behind the trunk liner on driver side. BE CAREFUL not to kink
it or it will be an expensive fix.

bundled and possibly zip tied around another wiring harness should be a small
gauge 3-lead for power.

if you need a CD mount, I have an extra...size for MC3198 changer. you can
also use an MC3010 changer as well.

Ok, I found the smaller power wire, but I'm not sure about the fiber optic cable. I do have a cable that is wrapped in a fabric insulator, and it feels like two cables inside, but it does not look like what you have in your picture.. Here are pictures of what I have.

Below is what appears to be the power wire.

Below is unknown. Could this possible be my cd fiberoptic cable? The car is a 1999.
