W210 AMG Install...

Alright all, just finished with the Audio install this weekend.

Installed:
Alpine 9833 H/U
Alpine SPX-177R Front Components
Alpine SPS-400 Rear Door Coaxials
Alpine MRP-F450 4-Channel Amp
Alpine SWX-1242D Type-X 12" Subwoofer
Alpine MRD-M1000 1000 watt RMS Amp

The sound is good, although I was a little surprised how sealed off the trunk actually is.

Pics coming soon.

I know this is an old post, but was wondering if you had any pictures of your install. I'm in the process of redoing mine and I was looking for some ideas/reference points.

Also did you have any issues with Alternator whine? I have my current amp grounded to battery but I can't get rid of the noise. Tried different RCA's and grounding H/U RCA shields to it's chassis. Haven't messed with amp ground or HU ground yet, but I have a feeling it's more the amp and not my wiring.

Ground your amp to the cars chassis not the battery and also mount the amp on a wood panel because mounting it directly to steel causes ground loops as well.

I had the same problem after installing a sub and aftermarket deck (alpine cda7893). The installer installed a little box where recievers rcas go in to the box and out to the amps. That solved my issue. I hope this helps. Sorry I forgot the actual name of the module he put in. Ask your local audio guy and see what turns up.
