Sirius connection on R350

Sirius connection on R350
Just bought a used 2006 R350 and want to hear sirius radio. The previous owner did not purchase the option. Dealer tells me it will be about $1000 (650 for the part). This part seems way high, as I have 3 other cars with sirius and nothing has ever been that much. I have called around and everyone insists that only the dealer can give me the proper SiriusConnect Translator that will work with the command center in the car. Does anyone know where I may be able to find this part? I have already checked ebay, sirius, and googled but no luck with any of them. Thanks in advance.
