2008 model E-Class w/ the SLR looking bluetooth adaptor. Pairing with the Blackberry Curve. It prompts me everytime I get in the car and I'd much rather it connect and disconnect on its own. With my Razr and my bluetooth puck in my V60 cradle in my W215, it just connects and disconnects on its own. Any insight here? Thanks!

Try this: On the Blackberry, under Bluetooth, you should be able to find a listing for he MB Phone system. Click on the Blackberry button and you will see options. Under "trusted", select YES. See if that works. That's how mine is set up (I have a BB Bold) and it pairs automatically every time I get in the car (08 E550)

Let me try to be more specific and also add something to try. On the Blackberry, select "Manage Connections". Then select set up Blackberry. hit esc and you should see a list of all devices you have connected to. Scroll down to the one for your car ("MB PhoneSystem" or something similar). Highlight it and hit the Blackberry key (to the left of the scroll button). Then select "Options"; Under options you should see a listing for Discoverable, which should be set to YES and on mine "Connect on power up" is also set to YES.
Do not select transfer contacts as it will abort. If you have a lot of contacts on your BB, better to set a category for "car" or something else, put all those you will need in the car in that category, and then under Contacts Transfer, tell the BB to transfer only that category.
Using the above I have paired successfully and consistently with a 08 E550 with bluetooth module, and a 04 E320 with Bluetooth puck.

Not to change the subject but the this feature works nicely with the BB pearl using the BT v60 adapterOriginally Posted by weinschela

The W220 has a different system than the W211's. I have more than 500 entries in my Blackberry address book and trying to transfer them via "transfer contacts" resulted in hanging up the phone system, as there appears to be a limit to how many entries will be accepted. But even when I pared them down to a subset, using "transfer contacts" did not work. So I formed a "category" on the blackberry called "car" and put into it everything I'd really need to show up on the Comand screen (maybe 100) and it works just fine.Originally Posted by my06clk
