Disconnecting Trafficmaster SmartNav
I bought a second hand W211 at the beginning of this year and now only did I have the time to reflect back. There is already a disc with a PCB board stuck on the windscreen next to the rear view mirror which I believe is the sat nav aerial that had been bothering me since. There is a push button marked "Tm" located in the dashboard.
Today I have the opportunity to trace the wires where this aerial goes. There is a black box on the front passenger footwell with a blinking LED light. It marked Port Alert M/Europe Smart-Nav UK. I managed to trace it to TrafficMaster in the internet.
This box really consuming battery resources that my reason to disconnect it. Anybody could guide me how to do this without impairing the working of the car?
