Like I said, believe what you will. there is a reason why that havent yet, and dont tell me it's because having rear radar is not important cause that is bull. Speaking of court and lawsuits !

The best value in concealed detectors is the escort Qi45 at $550 (although many people argue that the SR7 is a better deal for the money... You could go with something like the whistler concealed but not many people like it and it has gotten bad reviews...

Hi, I'm a new member, and found this discussion of radar detectors very informative -- well researched, reasonable and well written. I must agree, from my own experience, I prefer the Escort 9500CI to the K40. I had the K40 installed in a previous vehicle (Lexus) and was stopped twice for speeding. Never ticketed, but the fines would have been hefty -- 107 in a 70 mph zone and 98 in a 70mph. In both cases the K40s alert was much too late to react. I had the K40 removed, and used a Valentine for awhile -- constant false alarms -- and the used a Escort 9500 window unit until I was convinced it was (in my opinion) far superior. I had the CI installed in my previous vehicle, and having the system installed, on Monday, in my new vehicle, a Mercedes -- which I love.
