DVD Format for 2008 US Comand MCS II Alpine
Hi All,
So I'm trying to do they same as the link below, but in reverse. I.e I need to make a hybrid disk on a US Comand MCS II Alpine which is of US format but with Euro Map data. I.e buy two map disks and make one that works to get around MB's unethical attempt to lock the regions the cars can be used.

The problem I have however is I can't even get a burnt DVD to work in my system. Can anyone tell me if they have been successful with a backup of a US map DVD on MCS II and if so, can you tell me brand of DVD, type (like DVD-R +R +RW). Also which burner sw did you use.
If you could describe the disk you have working that would be great so I can hunt it down on Ebay as my US source disk

I realize this is an old thread, but it's worth repeating. I used a Sony DVD+R DL (that's dual layer) and Roxio Creater 2010 to successfully burn a copy of my map disk.
