need Help with aftermarket Sub!
I've been doing some searching on the forums on how to add a sub to my w211 with Logic 7 and I come to the conclusion that i will need to buy a cleansweep. I went on the JL audio site and found different models of the cleansweep. Do you guys know which one i should get? also can you guys give me a broad explaination of what i need to connect to the cleansweep? (stock speakers + after market amp + aftermarket sub to cleansweep )
thanks for the help
thanks for the help

how about, get an audison LRx (or SRx) amp, and run the factory sub signal to it, then the output of the amp to the sub? cleansweep for a sub is a waste of money and the benefits will be barely distinguishable to an untrained ear

Forgive me,
what is LRx or SRx?
are those brands?

"MURDERED OUT" 2005 E55 AMG
Is that why he's pushing that audison brand so hard lmao...listen any amp that has a low distortion level and has decent clean rms power will be fine you can do any amp doesn't have to be just solely one name brand but ofcourse if you do one amp and attach another just for looks sake match the amp I have used jl, Rockford power series before and they were more then fine but they are up there in retail prices but you pay for quality otherwise you wouldn't be driving a Mercedes you'd be driving a geo metro...

The 360.2 is a cool piece, but... the bit1 is much better, build quality, component quality, interface, and features.
As for Audison... unlike pacman...... I have been doing car audio for quite some time, and have had the pleasure of working with every major brand out there, and all the little BS ones, from the old Concord amps, to Audison... there is nothing out there that can touch the quality of the Audison, and that goes for quality, sound, features, and components used (build quality)
Rockford's day is long gone, they tried to come back with the power series and the 25th anniversary line, but ended up sending pretty much everything overseas, closed down much of their facilities.. just to stay alive... then cheapened them up to make it more affordable... so know you get an Asian amp like everyone else out there (except audison which is built in Italy) with a rockford logo on it... paleeze
I tell ya what, if anyone has time, look around their sites http://www.audison.com/ and http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/default_en.htm then go look around the RF, JL, Kenwood sites... take the mille sound experience tour on the hertz site... let me know what you think, they take it seriously, and everything they do is to make the reproduction of the music perfecto... unlike the rest who has speakers going down the assy line saying Rockford one day, alpine the next, maybe some powerbass, another day, phoenix gold the next...

tony we had many discussions, especially with the 360.2, some phone and some on the rf discussion site. I heard about the let go but seen the writing on the wall when they were discussing outsourcing everything... actually red flags went up when quart went bye-bye.

2006 C55 AMG, 2010 Genesis Coupe
I will agree with j on this one..You dont need a cleansweep or a 360 for this sub am upgrade. I did a simple upgrade to my c55 and I used a pac level convertor to go from spkr to line, a 500w alpine amp and new subs. I picked the sub drive speker leads in to the convertor and it also supplied the turn on for the amp. The only calble you need to run is power from the battery to the amp. Total time for me to do it was 4 hours. That included building the box and carpeting it.
The audison amps are the way to go if you have the money. Other than audison I would use Alpine pqx's or Arc..theres not much else out there that does it for me. It should be pretty straight forward as you are just doing the sub.
J has a pretty good grasp on the car audio scene..I use a different guy but he knows J and they are on the same page about most of this.
J how did that head unit trade in program work out? Shaun told them to pack sand when they told him the payout schedule!!
