Audio system cutting out?

Audio system cutting out?
Today on the way home the audio system started cutting out, I was listening to the radio when it started and i thought I was getting a bad signal so I switched to the Cassette player that I have the Tape converter to my IPOD and it was cutting out too so I switched to the CD player and it recognizes the CD for a second but then swithches to the radio. It cutts out every second or so just for a milisecond... Any ideas where to start?

Is it the same on all channels (left/right/front/rear)? Does it have Sound system amplifier? I'd start checking the wiring and specifically the fibre connectors.
