Custom Audio 2003 C230K
I wanted to post this here to get some feedback, I need more base in my bose audio system, like most of you i dont feel it when i turn up the volume and the lows are not even there(in my opinion of course)
so i went to my local custum audio shop, called audio connections and had a chat with the owner/manager of the place.
he sugessted the following:
kicker kx300.2 - 299.00
kicker comp VR 12" - 149.99
Custom fit encloser matching inside trunk carpet - 150.00
amp install kit - 49.99
Line apapter - 16.99
shop supplies 3.00
labor - 175.00
tax 33.50
Toatal - 878.46
discount price - 810.00 <-----what i am paying.
I put my 50.00 deposit down and the work will be done on febuary 14th, and take most of the day. but will be ready by 5pm.
he suggested mounting the amp to the drivers side rear seat, and the custom box to the right of that. I told him i wanted it to look very clean like it was part of the car, no wires showing, etc..
i will post pics after i pick up the car.
any suggestions? comments? let me know before feb 14th .. lol.

2004 SLK Special Edition
do you have to do anything special with the sub? doesn't the bose sub run from a fiber optic cable? How does this effect the system, because I'm thinking of replacing my sub as well.
