How come I can't forward tracks?

How come I can't forward tracks?
I have audio 10 CD. In the manual it says that I can forward inside the same track by pressing on the arrow up…
But that doesn’t work. I tried pressing it… keeping my finger on it… nothing worked.
Any ideas?

Did you try holding the forward button down for at least 2 seconds. Works that way in my 2000 S500.

I had some problems with the functions on a CD player I installed until I had the dealer reprogram the computer to play it.
