Yet another Bluetooth thread. This one is simple... I promise **PICS**

I have read many of threads come to the conclusion that my 2006 CLK 350 Coupe is in fact "PREWIRED". You can see the Tele-Aid and microphones on the rear-view mirror below.

As you can see there is no connector in my armrest, but there is a harness and antenna connector behind the back wall.

My question is what parts do I need to complete this and can I do it my self.

I bought one of these (B67876131). What else do I need? Thanks!

The finishing kit... big bucks more to go. Can I recommend the MoBridge phone kit or the NAVTV kit? probably under $900 for the NAVTV kit installed and the Mobridge kit comes with iPod so it is going to be a bit more pricey... ($1100) if you have the changer, the Mobridge piece replaces it. Also if you no fiber optics on in the vehicle, dealer will need to turn it on for you

Do any of these kits use the microphones built into the car?

Also, how well do they integrate into the existing stereo? Will it automatically mute the music when the phone rings, steering wheel buttons still work, etc?

The mobridge will end up costing you more you only need a few parts more. I would suggest you not go the mobridge route.

Q-6-82-0967 $160
203-820-13-11 $104
211-540-31-32 $9

The mobridge unit will end up costing you around 1k but has ipod integration that will cost you an additional $265 if you want install the factory one. So if you want ipod it will still cost you half the mobridge if you dont care about ipod it will only cost 273 to hook up the phone.

considering that they already have the puck, it will be cheaper if your prices are accurate (I have never spent the time to look at it, because the MB parts people say it is expensive) and with the techs charging what they charge, I could imagine it would be.

The prices are correct, the thing is these items use to be about double the most expensive part is the cradle which he has. Even the ipod integration has gone down. I looked up one for an e-class and they reduced the price from like $450 to 150 even the ebay prices are higher. I guess MB is trying to get people to get the most out of their vehicles and they are starting to reduce telematics prices.

Great news for sure, or they are just trying to turn some old stock especially with the new platforms!
