211 Antena Question? With Sirius...
I have a 2005 E500 that was prewired for Sirius but no tuner unit. Instead of paying $1,200 for the tuner I bought an after market unit that I am going to mount in the ashtray. My question is shouldn't the factory antena on the vehicle be already wired for Sirius? If so where can I cut into it or connect it to my aftermarket unit? thanks!

The installation kit for Sirius for 2005 models includes an antenna that is mounted on the trunk lid. The roof-mount antenna doesn't do Sirius. That didn't change until 2007, when the antenna became "triband." You'll note antennas on 2007-2009 models mount on the roof and not on the rear glass.
