I want to stick the FM transmitter for my XM in-car kit to the FM antenna on my 2000 W210 E55 with Comand. I assume it is in the upper rear window, but can't tell if it's the short wire segments on the passenger side or the interrupted longer segments in the center? Neither of these sets of wires gets hot when the defogger is turned on, so both are candidates. Or is the FM antenna on Comand vehicles integrated into the roof stub? While moving the transmitter around inside the car, at least while parked, the radio actually does pick up the XM pretty well no matter where I put the transmitter, but I'd like to mount it in the optimal location, which is in contact with the FM antenna.

Just do it where the antenna connects to the back of the radio.

Thank you kindly, but I'd prefer to not have to dig under the dash, not having any experience or knowledge about that stuff. Does anyone know which is the FM antenna in a W210 with Comand?
