In Dash Dvd Player
Has anyone had an in dash DVD/CD video system installed?
If so what system do you recommend and are you happy with it.
And where did you purchase your system? What was the installtion like did they have to cut up the dash because if I sell the car I would want to pull the system and re-install the old radio.

I have a 99 CLK whee I took out the factory system. Very glad I did. I will not be able to put back the factory system when I sell the car. Its possible, just to much work and to many modifications. Right now best head unit/dvd id clarion 935. Just put one in my Yukon and a partners PT Cruiser. We are in the process of opening shop in Islamorada. We will be carrying the better lines. Don't let anybody BS you in a car like that. Ask to see some of their work. We will have 3 partners and you can see the work we do in our own cars.

Thanks for the reply. I have been researching what it takes to get this done. Apparently the speakers are low ohm rated for the Bose system which has two amps to drive the speakers. Installers tell me I need to replace the 8-speakers and ad an amp.
They also said they could wire it so I could re-install the old system for re-sale. All this work is going to cost some serious $$$$.
