Quick question about Bluetooth while listening to music on iPhone.

Hi, I have a 08 GL450, and it is wired in the glovebox with the ipod connection, I bougt the passPORT from apple.com so It would charge my iPhone 3G while I listened to music, and that works.

so my question is, If I buy the bluetooth module, can I listen to music while being connected to the car via bluetooth? will it pause the music, allow me to answer the call and come back to the music? or will they not work with one another?

If not, then Ill get the cradle and the wire harness and wire it in the center console.

thanks
Joe

so the only reason to go the cradle route is to have the phone docked in the arm rest (closer to the driver) instead of the glove box? or are there any other added benifits to the cradle?

Its an adapter thats costs $20 on apple.com, here is a link http://store.apple.com/us/product/TS696LL/A

that will allow you to charge your newer iPod/iPhone. And yes it does work with the Mercedes iPod intergration kit just fine. You will still get that nagging msg that this accessory was not built to work with the blah blah, but it will charge and play music just fine.

Big benefit of cradle is that phone uses car's antenna. And charges. And is held securely as opposed to bumping around in glovebox.

I know. That's why I ordered it from commandonline.co.uk. I've had it installed for a couple of weeks now and it works great! The only thing I don't. Like is that I still get that nagging messege "this device is not designed to work with the iPhone" wish there was some way to disable that messege.
